2026 Rental Rate:
- Summer Season $5000 per week plus taxes
- Shoulder Season runs from May 1st to last week of June and from Sepember 6th to the end of September. The rate is 25% off the summer rate, which is prorated for the length of stay (minimum 3 days) plus taxes. A cleaning fee of $220 will also be added for any rental which is less than seven days.
- Taxes are not included in the price above and will be added when the quote is sent to the guest for review and approval prior to booking.
Internet: This home has Wi-Fi.
Pets: This home does not permit pets.
Occupancy: Maximum 6 guests including children.
Turnover Day and Length of Stay: In summer season, this home is a Sunday turnover and books for a minimum of 7 days. In shoulder season turnover days are flexible and the minimum length of stay is 3 days.
Bed Configuration: There are three bedrooms. All bedrooms have one king-size bed.
Location: This waterfront home is on Anderson Drive, and the property offers breathtaking views of the Salish Sea towards Texada Island and has a lovely staircase to the beach below.
House Description: This new one level home provides a warm & cozy atmosphere with large windows on the oceanside, allowing you to fully appreciate the beauty of the location. The open concept living area has a large kitchen with an island, a dining room table, and a living room. There are two bathrooms, a large ensuite with a shower in the main bedroom, and a bathroom between the other two bedrooms that has a shower as well.
Outside, a deck awaits on the front of the home complete with comfortable deck furniture, a large table, and a gas BBQ, This provides the perfect spot to start or finish your day with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine while taking in the ever-changing seascape. You'll never tire of the mesmerizing views!
The beach itself is a picturesque combination of large rocks and sandstone and features a small and secluded cove directly in front, ideally suited for swimming or launching your boat or kayaking for a day of adventure.
Water: The water is supplied by a well with a cistern. The water is potable.
Linens: In line with the water conservation efforts on the island, the guests are required to bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, and dishcloths. Comforters and pillows are provided.
Garbage and Recycling: As part of the Hornby Island experience you will be required to visit the Hornby Island Recycling Centre and dispose of your own garbage and recycling before the end of your stay. Refundable bottles and cans can be donated to the Hornby Island Preschool which uses the funds to support their programs.

Best view around
We spent a relaxing week at this beautiful new home. Everything was perfect, we saw whales breaching and cruise ships. Probably one of the best views on Anderson Drive in our opinion! The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and appliances. We highly recommend Whale Song to anyone looking to relax and enjoy fabulous surroundings.

Our family of 5 (4 adults and baby) enjoyed a wonderful week at this beautiful home. Whale Song is new, bright and sunny with a large enclosed deck overlooking the ocean. The layout is perfect for a family - with a master and ensuite separated from the other two bedrooms so baby naps and early bedtimes were easy. Beds and duvets are super comfortable and bathrooms pristine. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for family and friend dinners. 10/10. We hope to return next summer!

Super location looking down at a beach with Texada island in the background. We had a wonderful week in mid July. Space to play some games indoors and out and nice and close to Whaling Station beach. We saw Seals and otters and our neighbors saw a humpback. The beach is made up of a rocky shelf that you can jump into the water from and a section of smooth stones that slope into the water, good for launching a kayak. The cabin is rustic but met our needs. Thanks Ray and Angela
Seaside haven
You’ll be hard-pressed to find a better patio and seaside heaven as soul-healing as this. Every morning and evening we sat outside just inhaling the ocean brine, enjoying the magnificent view, and listening to the voice of the sea. We fell asleep to this soul-healing sound just outside our door. The walk down to the water is literally a minute or less and we could swim there and see crabs, small fish, and lots of plant life among the rocks. There was a big, fine bbq on the woods side that we enjoyed when our kids and grandkids visited. One set of grandkids were just a few cottages down the beach and loved beachcombing their way over to visit us often. A fabulous stay— thank you, Ray and Angela!
