2026 Rental Rate:

• Summer Season $3300 per week plus taxes
• Shoulder Season runs from May 1^st to last week of June and from last week of August to end of September. The rate is 25% off the summer rate, which is prorated for the length of stay (minimum 3 days) plus taxes. A cleaning fee of $220 will also be added for any rental which is less than seven days.
• Taxes are not included in the price above and will be added when the quote is sent to the guest for review and approval prior to booking.

Pets: This home does not permit pets.

Occupancy: Maximum 4 guests including children.

Turnover Day and Length of Stay: In summer season, this home is a Sunday turnover and books for a minimum of 7 days. In shoulder season turnover days are flexible and the minimum length of stay is 3 days.

Bed Configuration: This waterfront home has 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds.

Location: Porpoise House is a waterfront home located right on Sandpiper Beach. It is one of the best beaches for kayaking, swimming and exploring on Hornby. The property has direct access to the beach.

House Description: This beautiful, west coast modernist, is located on a 1/2-acre lot. The home comes with high ceilings, a huge skylight and a big deck with ocean view. There is outdoor seating for dining al fresco and a BBQ. There is one bathroom with a bathtub/shower, toilet, and sink and another separate room with an extra shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with a convection oven, microwave, and dishwasher. All photos shown are taken on or very close to the property!

Water: The water is supplied by a well. The water is good for cooking, washing dishes, bathing etc. A separate cistern will provide drinking water dispensing through a small tap at the kitchen sink.

Please Note: The owner is shutting down the water filtration system. This means that the sulphureous water smell will return. This is part of a local effort to reduce water consumption as the filtration system is very water intensive.

Linens: In line with the water conservation efforts on the island, the guests are required to bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, and dishcloths. Comforters and pillows are provided.

Garbage and Recycling: As part of the Hornby Island experience you will be required to visit the Hornby Island Recycling Centre and dispose of your own garbage and recycling before the end of your stay. Refundable bottles and cans can be donated to the Hornby Island Preschool which uses the funds to support their programs.

Things To Note:

• No tenting/RV/trailers
• There is no access to a washer and dryer
• There is no TV
• Maximum parking for two vehicles permitted
• Woodstove cannot be used
