Turnover Day and Length of Stay: In summer season, this home is a Saturday turnover and books for a minimum of 7 days. In shoulder season turnover days are flexible and the minimum length of stay is 3 days.
Bed Configuration: The main bedroom with king size bed is in its own wing and has a small office, walk-in closet and bathroom. The other two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, are in a wing on the opposite side of the house.
Location: Hialina is in the desirable High Salal area of Hornby Island, high on a cliff overlooking Tribune Bay.
House Description: Hialina is a west coast designed, three bedroom, one level home located on a large acreage. The home has been built in a U shape with windows across the waterfront side overlooking Tribune Bay, Hornby Island and Vancouver Island.
The view is truly amazing!
The center of the house is open concept living with a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, dining area, and living room. The two level deck spans the length of the home and has access from the living area as well as the master bedroom and the second bedroom. There is a BBQ for outdoor cooking and deck furniture to relax in while you take in the view.
There is a full bathroom attached to the main bedroom and a second full bathroom on the other side of the house between the two other bedrooms. In the main part of the house there is a half bathroom.
Outside the home, on the inland side of the property, there is mostly forest with some clearings. On the water side of the property there is a good size lawn and some trees and shrubs before the cliff. Please note this is a very high cliff that is not fenced, therefore this property is not suitable for young children.
Water: The water is supplied by a community water system which is tested frequently and is approved for drinking.
Linens: In line with the water conservation efforts on the island, the guests are required to bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, and dishcloths. Comforters and pillows are provided.
Garbage and Recycling: As part of the Hornby Island experience you will be required to visit the Hornby Island Recycling Centre and dispose of your own garbage and recycling before the end of your stay. Refundable bottles and cans can be donated to the Hornby Island Preschool which uses the funds to support their programs.
