2026 Rental Rate:

  • Summer Season $3100 per week plus taxes
  • Shoulder Season runs from May 1st to last week of June and from last week of August to end of September. The rate is 25% off the summer rate, which is prorated for the length of stay (minimum 3 days) plus taxes. A cleaning fee of $220 will also be added for any rental which is less than seven days.
  • Taxes are not included in the price above and will be added when the quote is sent to the guest for review and approval prior to booking.

Pets: This home does not permit pets.

Occupancy: Maximum 6 guests including children.

Turnover Day and Length of Stay: In summer season, this home is a Friday turnover and books for a minimum of 7 days. In shoulder season turnover days are flexible and the minimum length of stay is 3 days.

Bed Configuration: This home has one bedroom on the main floor with a queen size bed and another bedroom upstairs with two single beds put together to form a king bed. There is also a loft upstairs that has a single bed with another single bed underneath (trundle bed).

Location: Mountain View is situated close to the ferry terminal and overlooks the Lambert Channel, Denman Island with the mountains of Vancouver Island in the distance. The home is within walking distance of the Thatch Pub.

House Description: Mountain View has everything you need for a great holiday. This beautiful home has an open concept kitchen, living room and dining room which all take advantage of the wonderful views from the wraparound deck. The living area has a sunken living room, dining room with table for six and a spacious well appointed kitchen with dishwasher. There is a TV and DVD player in the living room.

The deck has a BBQ and comfortable patio furniture. The bedroom on the main floor is beside the main bathroom, and the bedroom has a door that opens onto the large deck. The upstairs bedroom has a wet bathroom attached.

Please note that there are quite a few steps down to the front door so people with mobility issues should consider this before renting. The lot is slopped and private.

Water: The water to the home is supplied by a community water system and is tested regularly. The water is approved for drinking.

Linens: In line with the water conservation efforts on the island, the guests are required to bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, and dishcloths. Comforters and pillows are provided.

Garbage and Recycling: As part of the Hornby Island experience you will be required to visit the Hornby Island Recycling Centre and dispose of your own garbage and recycling before the end of your stay. Refundable bottles and cans can be donated to the Hornby Island Preschool which uses the funds to support their programs.

  • There is no access to a washer and dryer
  • There is a TV (no cablevision)
  • Maximum parking for two vehicles permitted
  • Woodstove cannot be used
