2026 Rental Rate:

  • Summer Season $3100 per week plus taxes
  • Shoulder Season runs from May 1st to last week of June and from last week of August to end of September. The rate is 25% off the summer rate, which is prorated for the length of stay (minimum 3 days) plus taxes. A cleaning fee of $220 will also be added for any rental which is less than seven days.
  • Taxes are not included in the price above and will be added when the quote is sent to the guest for review and approval prior to booking.

Occupancy: Maximum 6 guests including children.

Turnover Day and Length of Stay: In summer season, this home is a Sunday turnover and books for a minimum of 7 days. In shoulder season turnover days are flexible and the minimum length of stay is 3 days.

Bed Configuration: The house has three bedrooms on a split levels. One bedroom with a king bed and an attached Jack and Jill bathroom. The second bedroom also has a king bed, and the third bedroom has two sets of single bunk beds.

Location: The home is located not far from Galleon Beach/Grassy Point with waterfront access close by. The Grassy Point area is a very quiet part of Hornby Island yet centrally located. This makes it very easy to get to other parts of Hornby to enjoy the beaches, the mountain trails, the Co-op and Ringside market, the outdoor market and many of the artisan studios. Blue Door has a peek-a-boo view of the ocean and Texada Island.

House Description: This three bedroom split level home is perfect for your family vacation on Hornby Island. This updated home has a warm and inviting feel with the blue and sand palette reflecting its proximity to the ocean. There are two full bathrooms (one with a tub and one with a shower), a well equipped kitchen, and dining room and living room that is comfortable and spacious. The house has both a large front deck facing toward the ocean and a rear deck which overlooks the back yard.

Water: The water is supplied by a well which is pumped into a cistern, therefore water conservation is necessary. The water is good for cooking, washing dishes, bathing etc. For drinking you will be supplied with five gallons of water. The water container can be refilled from the Co-op Gas Bar or Ford’s Cove dispenser (for a small charge).

Linens: In line with the water conservation efforts on the island, the guests are required to bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, and dishcloths. Comforters and pillows are provided.

Garbage and Recycling: As part of the Hornby Island experience you will be required to visit the Hornby Island Recycling Centre and dispose of your own garbage and recycling before the end of your stay. Refundable bottles and cans can be donated to the Hornby Island Preschool which uses the funds to support their programs.

  • There is no access to a washer and dryer
  • There is a TV available for streaming (no cablevision)
  • Maximum parking for two vehicles permitted
