2026 Rental Rate:

• Summer Season: $1850 per week plus taxes
• Shoulder Season: This home does not rent in the shoulder season which runs from May 1^st to last week of June and from last week of August to end of September.
• Taxes are not included in the price above and will be added when the quote is sent to the guest for review and approval prior to booking.

Internet: This home has Wi-Fi.

Pets: A small pet is permitted with prior approval by Wind and Waves. A $125 pet fee per week will be required.

Occupancy: Maximum 6 guests including children.

Turnover Day and Length of Stay: In summer season, this home is a Friday turnover and books for a minimum of 7 days. This home does not book in the shoulder season.

Bed Configuration: This home has three bedrooms. The ground floor bedroom has a double bed, the main floor bedroom has a queen bed, and the loft bedroom room has a queen bed.

Location: The property is located on Central Road near the Sandpiper area of Hornby Island and within 2.5 km of Tribune Bay, the Co-op and the Ringside Market. Close by is the access to Mount Geoffrey Park which has awesome mountain trails which are perfect for mountain biking, hiking or just for a gentle stroll. Sandpiper Beach and Ford’s Cove Marina are also within a short drive or bike ride.

House Description: Clematis Cottage is a bright and cheerful three bedroom home surrounded by beautiful and secluded flower gardens. The home comprises of three levels and therefore does have quite a few stairs. The ground level has the main entrance to the house and a bedroom. The second level has the main living area and comprises of the kitchen, living room, dining area, full bathroom and a bedroom. The third level has a loft bedroom. The second story also has a south facing deck which was replaced in 2025 and overlooks the gardens and the backyard is tucked away for privacy.

Water: The water in the summer is supplied by rainwater catchment and a cistern.

Therefore, extreme water conservation is necessary. The water is good for cooking, washing dishes, bathing etc. For drinking you will be supplied with five gallons of water. The water container can be refilled from the Co-op Gas Bar or Ford’s Cove dispenser (for a small charge).

Linens: In line with the water conservation efforts on the island, the guests are required to bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, and dishcloths. Comforters and pillows are provided.

Garbage and Recycling: As part of the Hornby Island experience you will be required to visit the Hornby Island Recycling Centre and dispose of your own garbage and recycling before the end of your stay. Refundable bottles and cans can be donated to the Hornby Island Preschool which uses the funds to support their programs.
