2026 Rental Rate:
- Summer Season $1800 per week plus taxes
- Shoulder Season runs from May 1st to last week of June and from last week of August to end of September. The rate is 25% off the summer rate, which is prorated for the length of stay (minimum 3 days) plus taxes. A cleaning fee of $165 will also be added for any rental which is less than seven days.
- Taxes are not included in the price above and will be added when the quote is sent to the guest for review and approval prior to booking.
Internet: This home has Wi-Fi.
Pets: A small pet is permitted with prior approval by Wind and Waves. A $125 pet fee per week will be required.
Occupancy: Maximum 5 guests including children.
Turnover Day and Length of Stay: In summer season, this home is a Friday turnover and books for a minimum of 7 days. In shoulder season turnover days are flexible and the minimum length of stay is 3 days.
Bed Configuration: There are two bedrooms which are located upstairs and are accessed by a steep staircase; therefore, this home is not suitable for very small children. One bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has a queen bed and a single bed.
Location: Cozy A is situated near the Sandpiper area of Hornby Island and is within 2.5 km of Tribune Bay, the Co-op and the Ringside Market. Across the road is access to Mount Geoffrey Park which has awesome mountain trails which are perfect for mountain biking, hiking or just for a gentle stroll. Sandpiper Beach and Ford’s Cove are also within a short drive or bike ride.
House Description: This Cozy A-frame is located on a large private ½ acre yard that has lots of space for a family to enjoy their vacation. This beautiful two bedroom home comes with two ground level decks, one at each end of the home. On the main floor there is a full bathroom and an open living room, kitchen, and dining area. The home also has board games, children’s outdoor lawn games, dvds and books. The TV has been updated to a newer Smart TV that will have cables if people want to stream from their laptops.
Water: The water is supplied by a shallow well and cistern, therefore extreme water conservation is necessary. The water is good for cooking, washing dishes, bathing etc. For drinking you will be supplied with five gallons of water. The water container can be refilled from the Co-op Gas Bar or Ford’s Cove dispenser (for a small charge).
Linens: In line with the water conservation efforts on the island, the guests are required to bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, and dishcloths. Comforters and pillows are provided.
Garbage and Recycling: As part of the Hornby Island experience you will be required to visit the Hornby Island Recycling Centre and dispose of your own garbage and recycling before the end of your stay. Refundable bottles and cans can be donated to the Hornby Island Preschool which uses the funds to support their programs.

The Right Balance
I have stayed two years at Cosy A, and it strikes just the right balance between all the basic conveniences of home without loosing the cottage feel. Super clean and even great recipe books. The chimes were a beautiful meditative addition this year. Wind and Waves takes care of every need should something come up. I would highly recommend it.
Dream House
This little A-Frame cabin is a gem and it instantly felt like home. You can tell it's well loved and cared for by the owners -- it's spotless but so cozy, the artwork and ceramics are beautiful, and somehow all my favourite books were fully stocked. I spent a week with two rambunctious boys and there was lots of room for me to get some peace and quiet for myself. I could happily live the rest of my life in that house. Thanks to Ray and Angela for being awesome managers. We'll be back soon.

Blissful Holiday
We were informed by Ray of a last minute opening for COZY A. We stayed there for 2 weeks with our young kids. For us it was very cozy and cottage like. The owners have created a very relaxing atmosphere inside and the garden and grounds were very wonderful as well. It is close to beach, biking and lots of trees for shade in the hot summer. Will be back for sure. Thanks to owners for providing this wonderful rental for our best family ** holiday ever! Thanks to Ray for providing us with all the things we needed. We can't wait to come back!

This home is well eqipped, decorated with local art and has a lovely garden. With a deck at the front and another at the back you can follow the sun from dawn to dusk. Wind and Waves folks were very helpful and were there to greet us to answer any of our questions. We like to trail run and access to Mnt Geoffrey was right across the rd. Thanks for the great week:)
